Our process

Photo Chemical Machining (PCM) is a technology for cutting and engraving of a wide variety of metal stocks. This etching process is also known as Chemical Milling, Chemical Etching, or Photo-Etching, and is a great alternative to laser cutting and abrasive jet for making thin and/or intricate parts with thin walls. Materials

Insight Designs can cut thicknesses from foil to 1/16”, and can engrave on stocks up to 1/4”.

We work with beryllium copper, brass, nickel silver, phosphor bronze, mild and stainless steel, and aluminum. Learn more about what we offer.
